When I first saw the trailer, I thought this would be just another “Hollywood-ized” film focusing on the romance between its two major stars. But despite my reservations, this film works because of its appealing cast, and genuine script. Matt Damon stars as a recent widower trying to cope with hi... Read More »

very good

I started watching this with my kids, but after the first few minutes decided to watch it by myself first so I would know where to hit fast forward. Adult themes, some foul language, some sexual innuendo, and dark and graphic art work, definitely make this a PG-13 in my house.

A great family movie that has a lot of meanings. One can learn so much about animals, families and what is important in life.

I suggest that you borrow this movie.

This is a heartwarming story about optimism, new beginnings and second chances. This movie will appeal to all audiences young and old. It plays a fun family movie as well as a comedy and quirky romance all in one.
The actors for this film could not have been handpicked more perfectly especially Maggie Elizabeth Jones; and the fact that the film is based on a true story makes it all the more adorable. This movie can be enjoyed by any audience; however mild coarse language is present.
The plot of this film is very creative and engaging as it depicts the struggle between father and son as they cope with the death of the boy’s mother. However the film does not reside in a grieving tone and most of the film is very uplifting, positive and sends a good message.
In conclusion, I strongly recommend this film is very worthwhile to watch and is filled with witty sarcasm and humor.

Cheesy and gooey like a fondue, but I kind of enjoyed it. Not really wanting to see this film, I watched it reluctantly and was pleasantly surprised that I got into it.Verging on feel-good, this movie left me feeling happier and kinder. Not bad, especially good film to watch with teens.

A really good family movie. No idea why it's a PG rating - there's nothing in it that I wouldn't want my grandkids to see. Yeah it's cheesy but not to a younger audience - they'd love it.
