Imagine “Spy vs. Spy” from old Mad TV episodes, and mix that with a cheesy love story, a Russian gangster, and Reese Witherspoon. The best parts of this movie were included in the trailer. There were funny parts like when the boys find out they are dating the same girl, then try to sabotage the... Read More »

Well this was a pleasent surprise it was it all very good date movie love, action, funny, good story and fair acting. I recommend this one

This means war involves two federal agents who are trying to take down a “bad guy” but end up falling for the same girl. It is a perfect date night movie with a great mix of romance and action. So it is just an overall entertaining movie that everyone should see. The costumes in this movie are very basic for every character but they also suit the roles that they play. The props that they used the most was the guns that shows how unprepared the one guy is and the step behind. The use of music truly fits with what is going on in the movie. Most of the camera movements or cinematography involved close ups on their faces or moving camera shots. This movie takes place in L.A. The main characters are two guys F.T.R and Tuck, and there is also Lauren, the main girl in the movie who the guys are after, as well as her best friend. The target audience for this movie is at least pg 13 and it is good for any age older than 50 too. Overall I think they could have shown more of the other side, like more of their job and also the so called bad guy so we could have a better understanding of who they are. But other than those minor things, it seems to have been one of the better movies that has been made and put out with in the last three to four years or more recently.

I love Tom Hardy, he has proved his worth as a gritty, commanding leading man by his portrayals in Bronson, Warrior and the latest Batman movie. I overlooked that he choose to do a romantic comedy (that's a true fan. If you're willing to sit through the worst of his/her filmography) This movie only ended up making me confused and annoyed. Pine and Hardy are Secret agents, at the start of the movie, you get to see their differing personalities; Pine is the playboy (who needs to be tamed) and Hardy is the nice, responsible guy (OH so contrasting) We get to see them in action.

They worst movie secret agents ever or maybe McG is the worst director; because his set-ups were obvious. Reese Witherspoon is back in her Romcom glory (has she not learned) playing the Helen of Troy to these two men. Her dear friend Chelsea Handler sets her up on a dating sites where she meets Tom Hardy and she hits it off with him. Thus ending the date, going around the corner to the video-store (I still didn't get that set-up, but its shitty McG) meeting his buddy Chris Pine and she snubs, he looks her up on the agency database (breaking how many laws in the process) pesters Reese at her job (stalking isn't a turn-on) to go out with him. She ends up giving him a chance (after walking out on him for being a show-off) because Reese bumps into her ex and GOD-FORBID she be without a guy. She kisses Chris, from that kiss she agrees to date him. Cue next chapter Hardy and Pine show each other the girl they are seeing... VOLIA! Thus begins the "war"

I have a ton of complaints about this movie. Where did the story-line go? They were going after a target, they killed the brother and target wants revenge. You don't hear about this guy for the rest of the movie. Stop making the successful woman with a good career seem become a bumbling fool, when she meets the idiot that dumped her. Also stop making the smart woman fall for the arsehole/player (Ladies, you cannot change this man. A man like this can only change himself and with all likelihood he won't) Stalking is not sexy nor cute and cuddly. I felt horribly uncomfortable through certain parts of this film when the spy-technology was used to survey Reese's character to find out what made her tic. As I stated before beyond breaking a ton of laws, this leads me back to my words about the player, he only changed, not because he felt he truly need to get the woman, but because he got called out by a actually woman, thus he must prove that he can conquer her. But thus in conquering her, he found his true-self (bullshit) The ending made me disgruntled.

So if you like no plot, swiss-cheese storyline with predictable/cliched endings. Go for it.

Really, really funny in parts. Had quite a few good laughs. All four of the lead cast members were excellent plus some good action which helped keep it from being too fluffy with a good ending. Highly recommend.

Had enough comedy and action to keep me entertained. These two are great together. I would love to have a second one.

This movie is a fluffy style film, not too heavy, a few good parts, some humour that you can get behind and basically what you would expect from a Reese Witherspoon romantic comedy. Enjoyable film and I think the male parts were well cast.
